After much teasing, Vivo finally revealed the Vivo S7 5G in China. The company brought some serious celebrity power to the ad campaign, including popular Blackpink pop sensations, as well as some Chinese actors. Achieving the previously released S6, the device follows a new path in CPU and selfie cameras with an imposing 44MP sensor.
In terms of design, the Vivo S7 has gone back to 2018 when wider notch phones were something. The back, however, has the vibes 2020 with many memories with the previous launch of the Vivo X50 Pro and has a rectangle cut for the cameras.
Vivo S7 5G: Specifications
Weighing in at 170 grams and 7.39 mm thick, the device is definitely one of the thinnest phones out there. There is a 6.44 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels.
It is a 20: 9 aspect ratio screen, but surprisingly there is no high refresh rate on it. While this seems like a sin in 2020, the screen is HDR and has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2%
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G 5G SoC takes over the Vivo S7, replacing Samsung’s Exynos 980 5G with the S6 5G. This is understandable given the performance and thermal issues of Exynos CPUs in general. Speaking of which, the Adreno 620 GPU handles the graphics tasks on the Vivo S7.
More emphasis on selfies
Going to the highlighting part of the device, we see two cameras on the front. One is a Samsung 44MP f / 2.0 sensor and an ultra-wide 8MP lens. Vivo has put more emphasis on selfies as usual and says that front selfie shooters can record up to 4K at 60fps, in addition to features such as dual exposure, self-night selfies and slow motion selfie videos at 240fps.
At the rear, the rear triple camera setting features a 64MP basic shooter, ultra-wide 8MP and a 2MP macro lens. It has features such as vlog function, Super night scene, ability to capture images in RAW, simultaneous use of front and rear camera.
All of this is supported by a 4400mAh battery with support for fast 33W charging via USB-C. Other connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and GPS.
