Realme is preparing to unveil a new smartphone and at the same time launches a new line of smartphones in China. In the next few hours (August 3), Realme will hold a Chinese event to unveil a new 5G mid-range phone called the Realme V5. According to recent reports, it will use a 7nm chipset from MediaTek. In this case, it is the recently released Dimensity 720 SoC. It is an Octa-Core chipset with excellent performance and optimizations for games as well as seamless support for all Chinese 5G networks. The device was recently spotted on AnTuTu and has now visited another benchmarking platform, Geekbench.
The new smartphone has model numbers RMX2111 and RMX2112, obviously, the difference between the two may be related to the amount of RAM, although we are not sure about this fact. Now, laptops bearing this model number have passed GeekBench 4. It has scored 2,493 in the single-core test and 6,555 points in the multi-core segment. Of course, the results will be below these numbers when the phone is evaluated on the GeekBench 5 platform. In the image below, you can see its performance on the GeekBench 5 platform.
It is worth noting that the Dimensity 720 SoC is referred to as MT6853V / ZA. The variant tested was combined with 8 GB of RAM which is very good for a mid-range phone. Last but not least, Android 10 OS runs, but you can expect the Realme UI to work at the top.
Realme V5 Specifications
According to rumors, the phone will be available in 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage flavors. So the variant tested on GeekBench is probably the most expensive. In addition to the gaming material, the Realme V5 features a 6.5-inch FHD + aperture screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Inside the outage, we have a single 16MP snapper.
Moving backwards, we have a Quad-Camera array that sits inside the rectangular shape. This form factor is the first for Realme smartphones. Thus, the Realme V5 will adopt a more mainstream design. This includes 48MP, 8MP Ultra-Wide, 2MP Macro and 2MP drives. The smartphone draws power from a huge 5,000 mAh battery. The icing on the cake is the support for fast 30W charging. The handset is available in silver, blue and green color options.
It is worth noting that for now, this device will be exclusive to the Chinese market. However, we will not be surprised by a global release in the coming months. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, in fact, teases the arrival of new 5G smartphones in the country, the Realme V5 is a good candidate.
