A month ago, Realme made its big debut in the smartwatch market. The company is constantly evolving its product range in order to make it a “lifestyle” brand and not just a smartphone company. The company even released a set of smart TVs to expand its portfolio. In the coming months, we should continue to see a huge variety of products in the coming months. Of course, among these products, we will have a smartwatch. Today, proof of upcoming designs was unveiled by the Chinese Patent Office.
Two designs have been submitted to the Chinese Patent Office and these new designs have many similarities to the first Realme smartwatch. In case you were wondering, they both have a square design like the Apple Watch. It is worth noting that the first design looks like the first smartwatch. However, after closer inspection, we are able to identify some differences. The screen appears to be smaller and the button is higher. In addition, the impact of the sensor on the back is now square.
Moving on to the second patent design, we have a little color on the front for a two-tone look. In addition, the button on the side is round. It could be an indication of a rim design that you can rotate.
These designs could be replicas of the first Realme Watch
Both designs have different straps. There is one with a buckle and a push-to-fit. The original watch also comes with different straps depending on the region. Of course, you have to digest these designs with a pinch or two of salt. After all, patents are not the final proof that a product is coming, they can be rejected in the future. In addition, they may even be early releases of the recently released Realme Watch.
It is worth noting that the document following these patents shows that Realme had applied for this patent in December 2019. However, the power of attorney was issued only this month. So, in fact, they may be early repetitions of the real Realme Watch.
Time will tell if these are rejected designs or a preview of the upcoming Realme smartphones. It is worth noting that the company will attend IFA 2020 early next month. We expect new products besides smartphones to land at the annual trade fair.
