Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G is a rebranded Oppo A92s after all – Post Daily

Earlier this year, Oppo unveiled the Oppo Find X2 series as the next big one for the company’s popular flagship series. The company then shifted its focus to the Oppo Reno series. This gave birth to the Oppo Reno 4 series in China composed by Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro. The duo of smartphones presented great screens, powerful cameras and the Snapdragon 765G with 5G capability. Late last month, the company decided to create these Globals but dropped the chipset in favor of a Snapdragon 720G only 4G. Now, the Oppo Reno 4 which is already made of four devices is going to get a new entry called Oppo Reno 4 Z 5G.

A new Oppo mid-range phone has been certified by the Global Certification Forum under the brand name Reno 4 Z 5G. This device locates the CPH2065 model number and is apparently the same device that has already been approved by Bluetooth SIG and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). According to recent leaks, this CPH2065 handset has the same specifications as the Oppo A92S 5G. Obviously, Oppo is bringing this phone out of China as the Reno 4 Z 5G. This is not surprising, as many companies do the same.

Dimensity 800, Quad-Camera setup in tow

Under the hood, we expect the phone to have the same Dimensity 800 chipset. It is a powerful Octa-Core chip that has a built-in 5G modem. The phone can have up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. In addition, it has a 6.57 inch LCD screen on the front. Moving backwards, we should have the Quad-Camera setting aligned to a square design.

It is worth noting that although it has a “5G” in its name and ships with a 5G chipset, the GCF does not list potential bands. The authority lists only 2G GSM, 3G UMTS and 4G LTE networks. Despite the phone’s capabilities, the phone’s rugged network support may not work in some countries. Of course, this is the best strategy. After all, getting a 5G phone now is more durable in the future. If the company can offer a cheap phone with the chipset with 5G capability, why offer one with just 4G at the same price just because an area does not have a 5G network.

The Reno 4 Z 5G will definitely be a competitive phone, perhaps more attractive than its 4G sibling. We have to wait for an official word from Oppo regarding the release of the phone.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
