Due to the Koran virus pandemic, many companies face serious challenges. Among them is the Chinese BBK, which owns the brands Oppo, Realme, OnePlus and Vivo. The farm can not fully meet the demand in the Indian market due to certain factors, which we will consider below.
Oppo, Realme, OnePlus and Vivo are facing a serious problem in India
Oppo is a manufacturer of OnePlus and Realme smartphone contracts for India. All devices sold by these two brands in the country are manufactured at Oppo facilities, which are currently closed.
First, the company’s factory was closed under general quarantine, which applies to every company in the country. The production lines had to be reopened then, but in the first few days, several more workers were diagnosed, so the government decided to close the factory again.
Because of this, the OnePlus 8 smartphone was only recently released in a limited edition and the Pro version of the flagship is not yet officially available in the country.
Given the difficult economic situation of most Indian citizens, the inhabitants of the second most populous country in the world have always preferred low-cost devices sold by the Realme brand. Due to the cessation of production, no new smartphones of this company appear. And it is not difficult to guess that the exploitation does not meet the demand and loses serious profits.
According to the president of the All-India Association of Mobile Retailers, other manufacturers have faced a similar situation. Thus the virus negatively affected the entire industry.
He also said that due to the low margin in the market budget segment and the lack of popularity of the more expensive smartphones, about 20% of retailers will not be able to continue selling without government support.
OnePlus is popular for mid-range smartphones, offering top-notch specifications at half price. The OnePlus 8 series was available in April 2020. Two smartphones were in the series: OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Although, both devices presented top specifications, but failed to impress the fans. OnePlus offers good value for money. But the series arrived at higher prices than the previous generation. The OnePlus 8 starts at $ 699 while the Pro version starts at $ 899. This is quite high from previous generations. I will not go into detail here, but do you make sense?
Now, there are more opportunities for OnePlus to launch its devices, such as a mid-range phone. And we were already expecting it with the OnePlus 8, but unfortunately it did not come. But now we have a big hint that the OnePlus mid-range device known as the OnePlus Z is coming. OnePlus can rely on the OnePlus Z phone to revive sales after this pandemic.
