The Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus, has established itself as a leading smartphone brand. However, this strategy does not seem to be enough for the company and now it is changing ground. This year, the OnePlus 8 series has already been released, which is a top series. However, last month, the company also introduced the OnePlus Nord, which is the first mid-range smartphone. Now, there are rumors that OnePlus will soon release another mid-range smartphone. At the moment, a new OnePlus phone has just received TÜV Rheinland certification. Certification confirms that this smartphone will support fast charging up to 18W (9VDC, 2A).
New list of OnePlus phones in GeekBench
Recent GeekBench list also shows more about this device. Following the release of the OnePlus Nord, a OnePlus smartphone with the model name “CLOVER” appeared on GeekBench. This smartphone has a mid-range Qualcomm chip, Snapdragon 660 SoC as well as 4 GB of RAM. While the OnePlus Nord supports 5G, this smartphone will not support 5G. Therefore, it should be cheaper than the OnePlus Nord. On GeekBench, this OnePlus phone has a single-core test score of 336. In the multi-core test, this device scores 1495.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC is a three-year processor (May 2017 version) that uses the 14nm process. Obviously, OnePlus is preparing a budget device that it will use to conquer the market again.
Within a month, the first mid-range model, the OnePlus Nord, was launched in the Indian and European markets. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that OnePlus will bring more mid-range models to the North American market. Well-known leakster @Max J. stated that OnePlus is internally developing two mid-range models, called “Billie 1” and “Billie 2”. Previously, a developer found a new machine codenamed “Billie” codenamed OxygenOS 10.5. Its chipset is SM6350 which is the code of the Snapdragon 690 chipset.
This applies to all information about the upcoming OnePlus mid-range device. However, with the release of the certifications, there will be more information about this smartphone in the coming weeks.
