HMD Global, the company behind the revival of Nokia, is busy campaigning to further increase its presence in Europe. The next step the company took was to bring someone who is very familiar with European markets to the band. Adam Ferguson, the former European head of marketing for OnePlus will now take over as head of product marketing for HMD Global.
Ferguson has already worked for other companies in the industry as a UK carrier. Prior to that, we attended senior marketing positions at Nestle and Unilever. Instead of simply creating a plan for further European expansion, Ferguson will work to improve the marketing strategy for the entire Nokia smartphone line. The new head of marketing will report directly to HMD’s new Marketing Director, Stephen Taylor.
Interestingly enough, Taylor also comes from other mobile experiences. He was CMO for Samsung Electronics in Europe and recently held the position of CMO at PayPal EMEA. Nokia recently released the Nokia 8.3 5G, 5.3 and 1.3 in March. Obviously, these devices will be the pieces in the company’s new market strategy. In addition, the company also has a lot of work to do after the release of the Nokia 9.3 PureView. The device comes with the difficult task of turning Nokia related into the top division.
“As a mobile enthusiast, I’m glad to be part of HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones. There are not many devices that captivate and inspire the public like Nokia phones. I look forward to doing this legacy justice and helping to bring the brand’s fans what they have been waiting for – the best in quality design and the latest technology at an affordable price. “- Adam Ferguson.
