Nokia continues to upgrade its devices to the latest version of the Android operating system. Now, it’s time for the Nokia 1 smartphone, which got Android 10 (Go Edition).
Nokia 1 has just been updated to Android 10 Go Edition
It is worth noting that Nokia 1 was released in 2018, from the box the smartphone ran under the Android Oreo operating system (Go Edition). This is a lightweight version of Android for smartphones with very little memory. In Android 10 (Go Edition), applications have become even smaller and more efficient.
The update is being distributed gradually, only 10% of smartphone users received it yesterday. By July 10, the company will update 50% of the devices and 100% coverage will be achieved by July 12.

Android 10 Go
The Android Go initiative is not as expected as it was a few years ago, but it still exists. Version after release, Google is improving this special version of Android for low-performance smartphones with 1.5 GB of RAM or less, and sold at low prices.
Android 10 brings many new features and Google has announced many on his official blog. The image from Google shows a new blue theme, with square icons, to distinguish the Go version and the classic version from Android.
The most important innovation is undoubtedly the arrival of data encryption for all Android Go smartphones. This is possible thanks to the use of the Adiantum algorithm that allows to increase the encryption performance, even in low performance chips.
Google is taking this opportunity to announce that Android 10 Go is more optimized than its predecessors and that we expect increased performance after the update.
The company also mentions all its official “Go” apps, which are now accessible on all phones, even without Android Go.
Google specifically mentions Gallery Go and YouTube Go, which are very practical and lightweight.
Google has announced that the first smartphones equipped with Android 10 Go will be released from the fall of last year. However, the company does not provide any indication of updates to older smartphones from the Android Go app, such as Redmi Go.
