After much teasing, the Motorola Edge + will finally be official in India. The flagship was released last month, however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the Indian blockade the company had to postpone traffic in the country until now. Despite the announcement, sales will start until the end Flip card on May 26. Additionally, Edge + will be available in a single Thunder Gray color option.
Motorola Edge + specifications
The Motorola Edge + features the excellent Snapdragon 865 plus the distinctive 5G modem for seamless connectivity to the new network. There is no 5G network in India yet, however, Edge + owners will be ready as soon as it becomes available. Processing power is combined with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, Motorola’s latest flagship does not include microSD card support.
These specifications are built around a 6.7-inch OLED Endless Edge screen. Motorola uses the term Endless Edge as a marketing name for its curved appearance. In addition, the screen has a drill hole in the upper left corner for the selfie camera and also includes a fingerprint scanner on the screen. Drilling serves as the home for a single 25MP shooter.
Moving backwards, we have one of the main points of sale Edge + – It is the Quad-Camera array with a primary 108MP sensor. This large sensor comes with a 16MP infrared unit, 8MP telephoto lens and 3D ToF sensors. The handset draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery that charges at a fast charging rate of just 18W. We know this percentage is decent, but it does not match a modern flagship. However, the handset also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
Pricing and availability
As mentioned earlier, the Motorola Edge + is available in a single Thunder Gray color with 12 GB / 256 GB. The device sells for $ 74,999 ($ 990 / € 905) and will be available for purchase on May 26.
