Samsung is preparing to unveil a new mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy M51. According to reports, this will be a smartphone for all fans of battery life or the screen on time, as it is accompanied by a huge 7,000 mAh battery. A support page is already available in Russia and has been the target of multiple leaks in recent weeks. The latest leak includes a set of type renders in addition to a smartphone spec sheet.
Galaxy M51 leaked specifications
According to the leaked specifications revealed by Sudhanshu Ambhore (@ Sudhanshu1414) The new smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 2,340 x 1080 pixels. Comes with a central punch alignment that includes a 32MP selfie snapper.
In addition, the back of the phone will accommodate four cameras – A primary 64MP sensor drives f / 1.8 aperture, 12MP f / 2.2 wide-angle camera, 5MP f / 2.4 depth sensor and 5MP f / 2.4 camera. It further confirms the presence of a huge 7,000 mAh battery with support for fast 25W charging. Despite the size of the battery, the phone weighs just 213 grams and is only 8.5 millimeters thick. So we can conclude that Samsung has done an excellent job with the construction of this phone. If you are still wondering, this device has Android 10 straight from the box.
According to the leak, the phone has a Snapdragon 730 (G). However, there are some rumors suggesting an Exynos chipset. In the best case scenario we will get the equivalent of Qualcomm. It is worth noting that because it is not a 5G smartphone, the Snapdragon 720G or 730G are the best possible choices. The chipset will play an important role in making this handset relevant. After all, why do we need a 7,000 mAh battery if the smartphone is weak?
The leak went ahead revealing two renders of the upcoming mid-range phone. Judging by the pictures we can see that it closely follows Samsung’s 2020 design guidelines. Brings a rectangular camera housing mounted on the left side with a small tap. The pictures also show that the phone has a side fingerprint scanner. This is a bit strange since the device packs an AMOLED screen. Maybe Samsung is cutting corners on biometric sensor technology.
The device is expected for next month during the Samsung Life Unstoppable event. With a 7,000 mAh battery and fast charging, we can say that this phone could really offer an “uninterrupted” experience. Thus, the event is the best possible choice for its release. The phone will ring in Europe and India.
