Vivo iQOO is one of the nicest surprises that the “sub-brand wave” bought from China. The company presented a plethora of competitive gaming smartphones for this year with 5G connectivity and affordable prices. Now, the company is preparing to unveil its next big thing in the form of the iQOO 5. The device powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset was spotted a few days ago on the Master Lu Benchmark list. Confirmed a variant with 8 GB of RAM. Now, the handset has popped up GeekBench. The new list reveals that there will be a variant of 12 GB RAM.
The iQOO 5 was spotted with the Vivo V2024 model number at the GeekBench reference point. The handset has a Snapdragon 865 SoC and the rating leaves no doubt about that fact. The handset scored 926 points in the Single-Core rating and 3,377 points in the Multi-Core tasks. The results are comparable to other smartphones with this chipset. It’s good to see the latest technology chip in this gaming chipset. Ultimately, it will ensure that the handset can play most games in the Play Store without any hassle.
Extremely fast charging technology and powerful cameras
The iQOO 5 has been the target of multiple leaks in recent weeks. The handset has advanced specifications, such as a 120Hz refresh rate display and amazingly fast 120W wired charging. According to Vivo tests, this technology is capable of charging 4,000 mAh from zero to 50% in just 5 minutes. The gaming phone will have the best possible performance specifications and users will also be able to charge it quickly thanks to this innovative technology. It is ideal for multimedia consumption due to its high speed display and a pair of stereo speakers.
In addition to iQOO 5, we know that the company is also preparing a variant of iQOO 5 Pro. Obviously, the device has similar specifications and we are not sure about the exact differences between the two smartphones. The iQOO 5 will come with a triple camera setting with a telephoto camera offering up to 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. Yesterday, we got a taste of the capability of this camera thanks to a set of photographic sample leaks. The handset will also feature a set of optimizations for night photography.
More details on the iQOO 5 duo specs will appear on Monday 17 August. Full details on pricing and availability will also be revealed on this date. While the initial release will be in China, we also expect the phone to hit other markets such as India.
