iPhone 12 models may arrive with a fingerprint scanner on the side – Post Daily

Apple officially announced yesterday that it will host the second Fall New Product Launch Conference on October 13 in the headquarters of Apple Park. No one doubts that the event will include iPhone 12 series smartphones, as well as other hardware innovations.

IPhone 12 models may arrive with a fingerprint scanner on the side

Various sources have published an image of the iPhone 12 smartphone. which says that all sections of the new line can receive a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. However, if earlier, before the release of the iPhone X, it was located on the front panel below the screen, now the fingerprint sensor will be on the side panel under the smartphone power button.

The power button with a built-in Touch ID fingerprint scanner is located on the right side of the smartphone. This setting has been used for a long time by many smartphone manufacturers. How convenient or inconvenient compared to a screen scanner or a fingerprint sensor on the back is a matter of personal preference.

It is worth noting that the online store SellCell recently conducted a survey of 2,000 American Android smartphone users, the results of which showed that one in three of them intends to buy an iPhone 12.

Sources also claim that the capabilities of the smaller new iPhone 12 will be very weak compared to the larger models.

The performance of the iPhone 12 mini can be disappointing due to the Apple B14 chip

It is expected that among the new products there will be a place for the smaller iPhone. which can be called iPhone 12 mini and will receive a 5.4 inch screen. This model has the opportunity to become the best-selling smartphone in the new line of Apple devices. Some cite a weaker chipset than other members of the iPhone 12 series as a cost-cutting factor.

For example, network whistleblower @MauriQHD claims that Apple has created a mid-range B14 chip. Its appearance was supposed to be a result of the company’s desire to minimize price and offer an affordable model. In fact, they took the Apple A14 Bionic as a base, but “tightened” the core frequency. It is possible that the iPhone 12 mini will not be the only smartphone of the company where the new chip will find its use. It can also be installed on the upcoming iPhone SE Plus as well.

It is worth noting that the name “Mini” is not entirely new to the Cupertino-based company. It already uses the Mini in the iPad and Mac series. The company has even introduced iPod Mini models in the past. Therefore, it is not so shocking to see an iPhone12 Mini, although this suffix took several years to reach the smartphone line. The company will probably keep the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max suffixes for the upcoming models with 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. These names were introduced last year with the iPhone 11 series.
