In the midst of a confrontation with the USA, Huawei is preparing for its next high-profile release. The next big thing from the company is Mate Series 40 which is due to arrive sometime in late September. Prior to that, the screen size and a supposed middle frame of the smartphone have been exposed revealing the design of the camera.
The latest leak from a Twitter user suggests that Huawei could adopt a 6.7-6.8-inch screen in the upcoming Mate 40 series smartphone. This is a slight upgrade over the 6.53-inch found in its predecessor, the Mate 30 Pro.

However, this new screen size could be in the Mate 40 Pro. This is because, despite the sporty name of the same name, the Mate 30 and Pro come with slight differences in screen with the vanilla Mate 30 which has a strangely larger 6.62 inches although it is a flat screen.
Anyway, we can expect the screen to be AMOLED curved with differences in curves on the Mate 40 and Pro. They are also expected to train on a higher screen refresh rate of 90 / 120Hz. Few reports say the waterfall screen will be perforated screen with perforation to host the selfie camera.
Huawei Mate 40: triple circular style cameras?
In other news, an alleged middle frame of the Huawei Mate 40 has also leaked to the internet. The alleged middle frame of the Mate 40, which leaked to Weibo, shows camera clippings, fingerprint sensor placement on the screen, speakers and more.
Quite interesting, he says they say that vanilla Mate 40 will retain the Yuba-style camera layout on the Mate 40. Here Yuba is referred to as a Tofu mattress of dry leather with a square but also cut design. The Mate 30 pro had quad cameras, while the Vanilla Mate 30 had three cameras in addition to a laser autofocus sensor.
Mate 40 Series: Specifications
Likewise, recently leaked spec sheet of the Mate 40 series suggests that the Mate 40 and Pro will have three and four sensors respectively. This is reflected in the frame, as the cut-out shows that it can only accommodate three sensors.
However, the series is expected to be full with a Kirin 1000/1020 5G, 1080p OLED 90Hz screen. The Mate 40 and pro will have 24 and 32MP selfie snappers, 50MP RYBY, 16MP ultra-wide, 3x optical zoom lens respectively. The Pro version could have a 50MP lens, 5X periscope and ToF sensor.
Both devices could have 4500-5000mAh batteries with support for 66W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Rumored to be priced at CNY6499 ($ 925), the Mate 40 series is expected to be released around the end of September / Chinese National Day ending October 1, 2020.
