Huawei Honor may be quieter than usual because of all the problems caused by the US ban. However, the company is far from abandoning the smartphone market and continues to explore all possible ways to circumvent these limitations. Although the company has lost access to Google Play Services, it continues to expand the Huawei Mobile ecosystem to be a viable option for all users, even those outside of China. Now, the sub-brand has signaled that it will keep pace with the global expansion of the brand. Honor has just announced that it will be hosting an event at IFA Berlin on September 4.
Honor is the latest company to participate in IFA 2020
Interestingly, Honor is the last company to confirm its presence at the event. Realme is one of the companies that will attend this year’s edition of the technology trade show. Samsung, one of the largest and most important companies of IFA, will be absent this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is worth noting that this year’s edition of IFA Berlin will take a different form. Instead of being open to the public, the event will be closed to journalists. Huawei will obviously also attend the IFA. Other companies that have already confirmed their presence are TCL and LG. The former may launch more smartphones at the event, while TCL will have to unveil new products to further confirm its new strategy as a separate smartphone maker.
Another important IFA monitoring company is Qualcomm. The company will have to announce a new product portfolio and strategy for Q4 2020. We do not expect new brands for 2020, as the Snapdragon 865+ has just made its debut.
Returning to the spot, Honor will adopt the theme “Expand Your Smart Life” at the event. Therefore, you can expect a wide portfolio of products not only smartphones. Honor’s list of offers includes smart belts, personal computers, tablets and other wearable products. We believe that Honor together with Huawei will play an important role in the event, as it will be smaller than usual this year. We will cover all the details and releases of the new event, so stay tuned.
Some companies, such as Samsung, will be hosting local online events in September to introduce new products. Ultimately, this proved to be the safest way to announce new products this year plagued by the ongoing pandemic.
