Samsung has finally put an end to all the rumors, leaks and renders at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event. As expected, chaebol has released a variety of flagship products to celebrate the tech community. Samsung teases the Galaxy Watch 3 as the most advanced health screen on a smartwatch. Well, let’s take a brief look at the newly formed wearables and learn the basic details along the way.
The Galaxy Watch 3 is official, it retains the natural rim
For those who do not know, the Galaxy Watch 3 succeeds the original Galaxy Watch that brought the entire natural crown to the consumer. Well, the next generation portable device also retains the same differentiation factor. The wearable comes in two different sizes, namely 41 mm and 45 mm with 1.2 inch and 1.4 inch screen respectively. Unlike the original offer, the Galaxy Watch 3 has thinner bezels that allow the brand to place on large screens while still using the smallest footprint.
Another key design change is the addition of circular buttons instead of the traditional ones. According to the brand, the brand new wearable is thinner and smaller, while it is also about 15% lighter. Coming to the strap, the wearable will arrive with genuine leather strap of exceptional quality. As we continue to design, let’s talk about adapting to watches. Samsung offers 40 different complications which means that you can greatly customize your watch to your liking.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch 3 uses the Exynos 9110 chipset in combination with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. Improving storage will be useful for those who want to store music and podcasts to listen to them directly from the watch. As expected, the new TizenOS 5.5 brings some pretty interesting features to the table. One such addition is gestures. You can easily receive calls by clenching and unscrewing your fists. You can also rotate your wrist to stop alarms or reject calls.
As mentioned earlier, Samsung teases this new product as an advanced health monitor on a smartwatch. Well, it comes with the good old 8 pulse diodes and an electrocardiogram. For new features, it is packaged in drop detection and SpO2 level meter. The first will notify up to four contacts, while the second will measure blood oxygen saturation levels.
With this, the smaller version will use a 247 mAh battery, while the older brother will pack in 340 mAh cells.
The brand new Galaxy Watch 3 will be available for tomorrow from tomorrow, ie on August 6 in various markets. The 41mm variant will bring you $ 400 while the larger 45mm option is available at $ 430. Coming to the color options, you can choose between Black, Silver and Gold / Bronze. It is worth noting that, at present, the stainless steel variant is only available. Titanium release will begin in the near future.
