Samsung is still not finished with the release of its top products and we already receive frequent leaks of Galaxy S21 Ultra. For those who do not know, chaebol now plans to release the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition on September 23rd. Coming to the S21 Ultra, we now look at the first battery information of the device. This report is displayed by good people at GalaxyClub.
Galaxy S21 Ultra battery capacity leak!
According to the emerging report, the next generation Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with a battery that will mention the model number EB-BG998ABY. This model number has a nominal capacity of 4,885 mAh, which means that we should have a large battery capacity of 5,000 mAh. We already know that the S21 Plus will have a 4,660 mAh battery. Recall, the S20 Plus has 4,370 mAh cells which means that the next generation will offer about 3% increase.
Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case with the Ultra version. For those who do not know, the Galaxy S20 Ultra also has the same 5,000 mAh battery capacity. The S21, on the other hand, will have a standard 4,000 mAh battery capacity (EB-BG991ABY). Earlier this week, we also saw Ultra camcorder leaks. If you missed it, then the Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with a quad-camera unit on the back.
The installation will consist of a 108MP primary sensor combined with a 12MP elevated lens along with two telephoto lenses. Consider a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, while the other supports 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, there will also be a large 40MP front snapper. With this new camera configuration, Samsung may end up removing the 3D ToF sensor.
Under the hood, the device will of course come with the latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 875 SoC. For the international market, Samsung will include the Exnos 5nm chipset that is under development. The Exnos 5nm chipset is expected to offer higher power efficiency. We need to see more information about the chipset to move forward as we get closer to the traffic.
Start the schedule and price
At the time of writing, pricing information remains scarce for the entire Galaxy S21 series. We know that the series will contain three devices. Coming to the launch schedule, Samsung generally launches the Galaxy S flagships in February each year.
